EN26 Machined Hammer Pins for Shredder, Crusher, Mining Equipment
We manufacture each hammer pin using BS EN26 (826M40) nickel-chromium-molybdenum forged alloy steel. All products undergo comprehensive quench-and-temper heat treatment to meet "Condition W" mechanical property standards, offering a combination of high tensile strength and excellent low-temperature impact resistance. With a core hardness of HB 311–375 and a minimum yield strength (proof stress) of 820 MPa, they maintain resistance to deformation even during continuous, heavy-duty scrap metal processing. We also offer an optional gas nitriding surface treatment that boosts surface hardness to HRC 58–60, minimizing wear when handling sharp or highly abrasive scrap metal.
All pins are precision machined according to your exact engineering drawings. Design details such as chamfered ends, metric internal threads, and relief grooves ensure smooth, unobstructed installation of shredder hammers onto the rotor assembly. We support OEM and ODM requirements, allowing you to customize the outer diameter, total length, and thread specifications to perfectly fit your equipment model. Every order includes a detailed Mill Test Certificate clearly documenting material composition and mechanical property test results.
Our factory controls the entire production process—from the forging and turning of raw steel to heat treatment and final hardness and dimensional inspections—maintaining strict tolerances within the 0.01 to 0.05 mm range. These hammer pins are suitable for scrap metal shredders, rock crushing equipment, waste processing machinery, and heavy-duty machinery in cement plants. Switching to our EN26 alloy pins will reduce the frequency of spare part replacements and enhance the long-term operational reliability of the equipment.
Manufacturing Process Flow
Iron Ore & Alloy Smelting → Steel Ingot Casting → Annealing → Heating → Forging to Form Stock → Secondary Annealing → Rough Turning → Quenching & Tempering (Heat Treatment) → Precision Machining (End Chamfering & Internal Thread Machining) → Final Inspection & Quality Control → Warehousing (Approved Products Storage)
